Can everyone please comment on what you like/dislike about my layout? Check out the new and less busy background!
I mostly hate everything about the layout but I was wondering, from 1 to 10, 1 being nothing happened, 10 being bleeding occurred: how sore are your eyes after reading any one of my blog posts?
Is there something you would like to have changed immediately?

I read the blog via Google reader, so i won't be really representative. Looking at it now
1. I like the personal composition in the top, but it's a dit depressing. Maybe you should have something more colorful.
2. The background, well, it can definitely be improved (no eyes bleeding, but it feels like website from the 90's :))

I really like your header, I think it looks really good. I don't know if the border and the header match though...
Apart from that, your blog is super easy to read! The font and everything is fine (^_^)
I'd rate it a pi.
I like the graphic because it's homemade, but the b/w and lack of smiles is a bit gloomy. Also, the font reminds me of the movie poster for The Ring (http://www.impawards.com/2002/posters/ring_ver2.jpg).
The background is not bad, but it doesn't match the feel or colors of your main graphic. I think you can make the graphic work a bit more by removing the handwritten font, tint the colors in the graphic to have a bit more warmth (add yellow/brown level), and maybe even overlay some cutout leaves from the background over it.
I love the header. I liked the books in the background because it's very representative of you. Typically, in design, less is more.
